I have my foot in two blogging worlds. I write about the projects I have going on at home with my family, and I write about my teacher world. This week, my foot is in the teacher blog world.
I am participating in a school blog hop. I have done giveaways before but never as part of a blog hop. Read on to find out how to enter the Back to School Giveaway and win this year’s RoomMom Teacher Emergency Kit. Visit other blogs in the hop for a chance to win more educational swag.
Back to School Tip
At the beginning of the school year, stock a bag of emergency supplies to leave in your teacher desk. Think about items you need during the day that you would not be able to locate in the teacher workroom, the front office, or in the students’ school supplies.
Typically, the items I like to have on hand are a travel toothbrush or dental floss, hand lotion, chapstick, safety pins, Tylenol or Advil, Tums, an emery board, a few dollars worth of quarters for the soda machine, and (whispering) Tampax.
Enter my Rafflecopter giveaway for the chance to win TheRoomMom Teacher Emergency Kit! Two winners will be selected. Giveaway ends Saturday, August 9 at midnight (EST) and shipping addresses must be within the USA or Canada. Teachers, this is a great little holder to have on hand. Parents, be your child’s teacher’s best friend and give this as a teacher gift the first day of school.
Go to RAFFLECOPTER to submit an entry!
But wait, there’s more! You have the opportunity to win something different on each blog in our group, so make sure that you visit the next blog in the blog hop at the bottom of this page. I would definitely need the advil in there! I would add a Tide Stick for those days when I ‘miss my mouth’ when rushing to finish my morning coffee 🙂
Good suggestion. I hate that little dribble of coffee on a clean shirt. It always hits square in the middle of my chest too.
I entered! Thanks!
Great! Caitlin
I entered – have a great new school year – we actually started back today!!
Ugh– that is so early! I start meetings on August 13, and the kids start August 20 (still too early).
I think this is adorable and I probably need one myself actually. I would add mints/gum and maybe a small piece of hard candy that doesn’t melt (if possible) just for a pick me up!
I made one for myself last year, and I keep it in the cabinet in our faculty restroom. Very handy!
I would also add gum!!
Yes! Thankfully, our receptionist at my school always has mints in her desk drawer. It is very handy.
I would add sanitizer.
I went with the Clorox wipes because I am picky about hand sanitizers, but I definitely like having some sort of germ killer item in there.
I can’t think of anything to add. You covered everything!
Great idea! Thanks!
I love this! I’m going to make one for myself with a few other things. 🙂
…like a mini-brush and extra phone charger. 🙂
Phone charger– smart! Have you seen those extra battery pack/charger things? My niece has one, and I think it would be so handy.
Great idea!
Emergency glasses repair kit 🙂
I would add cough drops for those times when the tickle just won’t go away!
It’s probably too big to fit, but I always have an extra deodorant in my desk for those times when I realized I forgot to put some on before I left the house!
What a great idea! I really need to make one of these for my school bag.
EmergenC to head off the cold that is coming, either from being around all of the new bodies or the season.
I would add gum or mints and a nail clipper/file. 🙂 Love the pouch to hold it all. Too cute!
I think you covered it all! This is so neat!
What a great idea, as a Teacher I know I would appreciate it greatly! As for adding, you covered it all. I would have said a nail file – but it is mentioned already! Cheers! 😉
