WordPress Friends and Family

21stcenturyrenaissancegirl, nominated me for a WordPress award. Basically, these awards are a way to share names of WordPress blogs that WordPress bloggers enjoy reading. Thanks to 21stcenturyrenaissancegirl, one of my earliest followers, for including me.

A handful of the blogs on my list are run by friends I had from my early grades in school or from my summer camp, and I would not have found these people again without this funny blogging world. The others on the list are blogs that just match my interests well or make me laugh.

I am an educator. I am a little crafty; I like to make cupcakes, and I love projects. As my husband will tell you, these interests can quickly grow out of control when working on teacher gifts and class activities.

  • Caitlin! Thank you so much for the honor! I think your blog is THE BEST! I wish I had your eye ... you mix parenting and teaching so beautifully! XX

    • Martha, I love that I can keep you with you via your blog. I would never have found you again without social media!

      • Isn't that the best part of social media! I'm happy to have found you, and your work! X

  • Thank you--I'm honored to make the list. After today's bad parenting post, I wasn't sure if it'd be the most wanted list...so glad we can share blog stories!!! I always love your snacks and elementary ideas now that I can try them for the boy:)

  • Thank you! I'm honored! So, um, I guess this means it's time to update my blog. That whole first-year teacher thing made it hard to keep up. But I just spent my first day back in the classroom so I think I'm ready again to face teaching AND the blog. I've kept up with yours, though. Love it!

    • Ah yes, the first year of teaching. Were you sick most of the year too? Not enough to call a sub but enough to use a whole box of Kleenex every day? I pinned your Narnia door idea on a collaborative teacher board-- I love it.

  • Wow - I am honored to have made your top ten list! I am happy to have stumbled upon your blog not long ago and I really wish I had more time and energy to spend blogging and making these great connections. I will take a peek at the others that made your list, especially the ones that have teacher knowledge behind them. I will start my student internship this fall and am so excited about it.

  • Thanks Caitlin!! I really appreciate it. You know how much I love your blog too! Always great ideas...and none that I would ever make fun of! ;) Keep up the good work!

    • I was a little worried about the carrot pickles. That gift idea had the potential to be shitsy. So glad you are posting again. I always laugh while reading.

  • Thank you so much, Caitlin. What a nice thing to see today. (I've been terrible about checking up on things this summer!) Hope you're having a good break. :)
